Talented local performers Jake Amy, Anthony Foon, Hannah McKittrick and Josh Hook are just some of the local performers appearing at the Bass Coast Community Foundation's Gala Evening at 7pm on Friday 31st August 2018 at the Wonthaggi Union Community Arts Centre.
Local dairy farmer and businessman Michael Malone will soon be putting Inverloch firmly on the map in the Australian aviation scene, by leading team Bunurong in the 2018 Outback Air Race to raise much needed funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Team Bunurong Inverloch is named after the stunning Bunurong Coastal Reserve, it's also the name of the local ward in the Bass Coast shire.
Realestate.com.au recently released a new data report detailing the top performing suburbs in Australia over the past year. As expected the majority of these suburbs are in Sydney, however parts of regional, coastal Victoria performed very well also - especially Inverloch!

Inverloch 3996 caught up with Tad Hendry & Jess Cuman from Adapt Design Group this week, to check out their stunning new 8.7 star build at The Cape in Cape Paterson and to find out how they set about designing a family home that for the same cost as a traditional build, could eliminate energy costs for the owner and potentially provide an annual rebate from their electricity provider. Now who doesn't like the sound of that!
Australia's most sustainable residential project, The Cape, just down the coast from Inverloch, will be launching two super sustainable homes that have eliminated their energy bills, as part of the inaugural Cape Harvest Festival on Sunday 11th March
The Keeping Kids On Track Fun Run today in Kilcunda was exactly that, heaps of fun. The run aims to raise funds for local clubs and youth development, in memory of Leslie McKay who was a librarian, and English and Literature teacher it the Wonthaggi Secondary College; she was a highly regarded youth mentor, and an advocate and inspiration to many.
Inverloch would have to be Australia's most convenient town for a jazz festival, with three relaxed venues in the centre of town and spread out over 4 days - it's the perfect Jazz vacation. Celebrating it's 25th year in Inverloch this labour day long weekend 9 -12th March, it's shaping up to be a another great event, featuring over forty brilliant bands and acts.

The Inverloch Classic Wooden Dinghy Regatta is about displaying classic wooden sailing dinghies both on and off the water, many of which were once common but are now becoming rare. By focusing on the beauty of the wood crafting, rigging and history of these boats it is hoped people will appreciate them more fully and participate in their restoration and conservation. Over the Australia Day Weekend the Regatta also highlights aspects of Inverloch’s unique seaside history.

Designer Dainy Sawatzky, based right here in Inverloch, has an infectious enthusiasm for all things "dolls". By her own admission she basically never grew up and her love for dolls and sewing never left her. After having children of her own she felt it was a great excuse to get back into it but with a few really important values added - nurturing positive self image and self belief, keeping all products Australian (and ethically) made by creating cloth toys that enhance a child's sense of magic and play.
