All the bases are covered from selecting the location, taking care of the flowers and bridal bouquet, conceiving a theme, and offering top photography. HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
Kate: Megan and I conceived of White Poppy Lane having been exposed for years to the costly wedding ceremony set ups used for an hour at best. We felt that there was a better plan and the company was born.
Megan: We knew we could offer a quality experience at a reasonable cost by letting several couples share the same ceremony space and styling. Of course, we add personal touches that each couple loves. It is the kind of company two friends can do together drawing upon our distinctive talents.
WHAT ARE THE MECHANICS OF SHARING A WEDDING?
Kate: We scout for amazing locations, hire it for the day, and then set about engaging all the suppliers so couples don’t have to! We do all the hard work, leaving the big day easy, stress-free and totally gorgeous!
Megan: Customization is entirely possible with our scenario. You don’t have to forego a classy, elegant, or luxe ceremony, as the concept is shared. Couples appreciate saving money to spend on the honeymoon or the down-payment on a house. You know what weddings cost these days!
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A SHARED CEREMONY CONCEPT?
Kate: If you are daunted by the stress, possible family politics, arguments and the impossible lists of things to do, the load can be lightened with our planning process. It is all about getting something a little bit different and creative at an amazing price.
Megan: The other benefits include a wedding of any size you like. You are not restricted. Whether it is an elopement with 4 guests, a small intimate wedding with 40 guests, or for the last wedding of the day - up to 100, we can accommodate the plans. Plus, I perform the ceremony to ensure it meets your every need. I guarantee it will be warm, friendly, fun, and intimate.
WHAT DOES THE PRICE INCLUDE?
Kate: For one set price, everything you need for a wedding ceremony is included in a one-stop shop. You get your unique Wedding Venue hire, luxury styling including flowers, individual Bridal bouquets to keep, customised ceremony wording, including all legal paperwork, photography, and post ceremony champagne and canapés for all of your guests while photos are being taken.
Megan: It’s an easy alternative to sourcing everything yourself, while ensuring your day has all the elements you adore. It makes perfect sense!
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE CEREMONY?
Kate: You will have approximately 1.5 hours at the venue, after which time you head off to your post-ceremony celebration. We want to create a beautiful foundation and let our brides and grooms build on it. We have a list of fabulous venues you can book for your reception if you wish to party on.
DO YOU HAVE TO BOOK FAR IN ADVANCE?
Megan: Due to the unique nature of marrying multiple couples in one day, times and dates can get filled quickly. We recommend booking as soon as the couple has made the decision. The latest booking we can take for a popup wedding is 6 weeks before the wedding date as the legal paperwork must be completed and submitted.
CAN COUPLES BRING SOME OF THEIR OWN SUPPLIERS?
Kate: If they want a particular photographer or celebrant other than Megan, it is entirely possible; but it makes most economic sense to go with our package.
Megan: We negotiate hard to ensure we can offer the best price for our couples, while still retaining the best of everything. There are no compromises at White Poppy Lane!
