One of the best things about being hired to photograph stunning coastal architecture is meeting the owners who made it all happen. Learning first hand what drove them to create something so special and unique in the first place, the choices they made and what they learned along the way. We're always looking for new design inspiration at Inverloch3996 and shooting one of the founders of  Mookah and their personally styled home was an assignment we were really looking forward to as we had a sneaking suspicion there would be some very unique design features. We were not wrong.

THIS PROPERTY IS NOW SOLD

"Awesome and well done. Your feature on our property was stunning and instrumental in the outcome that we achieved. It’s really nice to see a fresh approach to selling properties, or should I say the places that we love and call home." - Nic Griffiths

One of the most intriguing features of this home is that from Townsend Bluff Road you can't really see what's there, just a roofline that has been blended seamlessly into the landscape. It's very, very private. Even descending the curved timber walkway towards the front door gives very little away.

It's not until you reach the imposing rusted steel front door that you start to get a sense that this is a very special house indeed, almost 'bunker' like. If you've ever spent any time up at the Bluff you'll know that this purposeful design is there to shelter the living spaces from the winds, with the natural landscape and roofline acting almost like an aerofoil.

We just LOVE that front door. It's extremely solid and heavy but glides effortlessly and closes with a very reassuring thud!

As we suspected this is one of those homes where you just want everything that's inside it also, from the furniture, the light fittings, the rugs, the ornaments - the list goes on. Everything just works so well together. Normally on a real estate shoot we will need to move or rearrange at least some of the furniture for better visuals and flow. Not so here.

We love the way all of the earthy tones pull the living space together with the polished concrete and timbers working especially well together. It's a very calming space.

If we told you that your next kitchen was going to be burnt orange you'd probably frown, but this has to be one of the most stylish and practical kitchens we've ever shot - If you're still not sold on the burnt orange click through the gallery below
Another unique feature that works really well is the "solar cell" that runs the length of the property with a beautiful sitting area in the middle with real plants growing throughout. It's very unusual but a truly stunning feature.

The four bedrooms here all have their own unique style and feature many Mookah accessories that give a tasteful pop of color. We especially loved how the bedroom windows opened out into the 'solar cell for air circulation and those plants have got to be good for you :-)
Understated and earthy bathrooms complete the interior of this stunning home - what really impresses here is the workmanship, fit & finish which may not be obvious in the images, but it's there.
A trend we're noticing more and more when shooting high end residential properties is the inclusion of multiple dedicated work spaces, as technology allows more and more industries to be more flexible, mobile and to work remotely. As shown here with a smaller work station in the main house

While just a few steps outside is a workspace that you could build an empire in should you so wish!

How's this for a work from home office!
If all that work gets too much for you then fear not, there are plenty of gorgeous outdoor spaces to relax in. Approximately an acre of them!
So what does all this stunning design, passive solar, thermal efficiency on an acre of land next to the stunning beach town of Inverloch cost? The answer is not as much as you might think. The property was sold very quickly and  it has to be one of our favorite properties we've shot over the last year.
