Earlier today we visited a stunning open house at 4 Ovata Place, Surf Beach Estate, Inverloch, hosted by the beautiful Caroline Allen of Hotondo Homes. The property has a great feel and would be perfect for a family planning a sea change move to beautiful Inverloch. The house design is the Erskine 240, described as contemporary costal living at it's best. We sat down with Caroline and asked her about some of the key design features and adaptability. Caroline, What has been the inspiration behind this design?Being only walking distance to the surf beach was certainly something we were wanting to capture in the style and layout of this home. The contemporary coastal flair of this home begins with the façade and then runs throughout the house. The blues hues and light timbers throughout is reminiscent of a chic beach-style design. We wanted to create a space that was what our holidays are all about - where we can relax and unwind but also be a home where families can gather together. What has been the most talked about feature from people who have visited the open house?Without a doubt it would have to be rear of the home. The open-plan living, kitchen and dining area is really a fantastic space. It also has a connecting alfresco directly off the kitchen so the indoor/outdoor combination enhances the openness. The large walk-in-pantry also has been a talking point! It is huge and perfectly suited to those who like to cook. Personally, I love the master bedroom. It has a massive walk-in-robe and a gorgeous ensuite with a walk-in shower. But the location and aspect is the best. It overlooks the wetlands and coupled with the birdlife and the sound of the ocean, it’s like your own private paradise. What future developments are available close to the surf beach? The Surf Beach Estate is the last of available land allotments. There is really limited development in Inverloch to maintain the village, coastal-town feel. Where this home is located is Stage 4 of 5 and then that’s it – there will be no more. There has been considerable interest in this estate and with interest rates so low, there really is no better time to buy into this market because once they all sell, this will certainly be a very exclusive area. It’s a very good investment. What is one thing you would do to enhance the space?Well these blocks are large. This one is over 950sqm. We have already accommodated access for a caravan or a boat down the side but with the unique aspect of this area, I would add a terraced garden on the rear slope and definitely a pool! And it’s for sale?It is! You could move in with nothing more to do and start enjoying your sea change immediately.
