A Recipe For The Perfect Dirty Weekend In Inverloch

One of the most exciting things to happen in Inverloch so far in 2017 was the opening of The Dirty Three Tasting Rooms in Cashin Street Inverloch. If you've already been you'll know what we mean. If you haven't been yet, then read on - you are in for a special treat....

Marcus Satchell & Lisa Sartori have done an amazing job converting essentially a shed on an industrial estate into a buzzing, vibrant and hip must attend venue for Inverloch. Every detail is perfect and you can feel the love, sweat and tears that have obviously gone into the project.

The atmosphere on the opening weekend was nothing short of electric. Amazing wine, charcuterie plates along with great live music and a good spirited Inverloch crowd of epic proportions.

Both Marcus & Lisa have an undeniable passion for making great wine from the region they both grew up in, and it really shows. Not only in the truly excellent Pinot Noirs, but all the small details that go to make their tasting rooms such a unique space. Full of locally sourced artworks, pottery and produce, it's great to see such a whole hearted collaborative effort of local businesses supporting each other in a new venture.

Celebrating 20 vintages both here and abroad in 2017, Marcus is passionate about making wines that speak of South Gippsland and the dirt in which they grown. A brief and memorable meeting with Pinot Noir in the Yarra valle back in '97 has now turned into a full blown obsession with the grape and harvesting wine with soul. 

Stepping out of her corporate banking career and into the paddock with Marcus, has been a brave and some say crazy move, however Lisa has taken to it like a duck to water. Whether it's pruning vines, tractor work, netting, mowing or taking deliveries around the countryside, Lisa is the great all rounder of the team, and you're sure to see her face at the new tasting room.

As for their character, well that's just something you'll have to find out for yourself - If you'd like to have a deep and meaningful with either or all of them, we recommend that you head down to Cashin Street, Inverloch ASAP and see what all the fuss is about. Our only suggestion would be to write your whole day off from the point of arrival as you won't be able to leave ;-)
